With over 40 years of experience in labour relations, Ted Koskie brings seasoned judgment and practical insight to every matter he adjudicates. He has presided over hundreds of arbitrations and adjudications, involving a wide range of factual and legal issues across unionized and non-unionized workplaces. Drawing on a career that included representing both employers and employees, Ted approaches every case with impartiality, clarity, and a deep understanding of the real-world implications of each decision. He is known for delivering prompt, well-reasoned decisions, informed by decades of advocacy and dispute resolution experience.

Ted Koskie and Koskie | Law adhere to strict standards of conduct that ensure the integrity and neutrality of every proceeding:

Confidentiality

All arbitration and adjudication matters are treated with absolute discretion. We will never discuss or disclose what occurs in a proceeding outside of the process itself. Privacy is a core advantage of adjudication—and we protect it fully.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

We promptly disclose any potential or perceived conflicts, including prior dealings with parties or counsel, financial interests, or relationships involving any member of our firm or their families.

Non-Solicitation of Clients

We do not and will not solicit legal work from parties to an arbitration or adjudication. Our neutrality is never compromised.

Fees

When sitting as an arbitrator/adjudicator/referee, we charge the following fees:

  • Hourly Rate – $625.00
  • Half-Day Rate – $2,187.50
  • Daily Rate – $4,375.00

If a panel includes arbitrators / adjudicators / referees who are not associated with Koskie | Law, then the parties must make their own fee arrangements with such arbitrators / adjudicators / referees.

A deposit may be required.

Cancellation charges are the time spent on the matter:

  1. if notification is received before a hearing is scheduled;
  2. if notification is received three months or more prior to hearing date, add charge for ¼ day for each day booked;
  3. if notification is received 1 – 4 weeks prior to hearing date, add charge for full fee for first day and ½ day for other days booked; and
  4. if notification is received less than 1 week prior to hearing date, add charge for full fee for first day and ¾ day for other days booked.
